Buttermilk Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    3/4 c. shortening
    3 eggs
    2 c. all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 Tbsp. almond extract or lemon extract
Preparation
    Cream sugar and shortening.
    Beat in eggs one at a time.
    Sift dry ingredients together then blend with creamed sugar and shortening alternately with buttermilk.
    Stir in vanilla and almond (or lemon) extracts.
    Bake in greased tube or Bundt pan at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
