Russian Rocks - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. brown sugar
    1 c. butter
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 c. warm water
    2 eggs, separated
    3 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. ground cloves
    2 tsp. ground cinnamon
    1 lb. pecans
    1 lb. seedless dates, chopped
    1 lb. candied red and green cherries
    1 lb. candied pineapple, chopped
Preparation
    Cream the sugar and butter together.
    Add beaten egg yolks. Mix soda with warm water and add to creamed mixture. Sift flour and spices together and beat into butter-egg mixture. Add pecans, chopped dates and chopped candied fruits. Fold in beaten egg whites. Drop onto baking sheets. Bake in preheated 300\u00b0 oven for 20 minutes.
