Shrimp Creole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large bell pepper
    1 large onion
    5 branches of celery
    2 large cans tomato sauce
    1 can hot water
    2 Tbsp. chili powder
    2 bay leaves
    2 Tbsp. vinegar
    salt and pepper
    1 c. flour
    2 to 3 lb. shrimp
    rice
Preparation
    Saute in
    shortening,
    bell
    pepper,
    onion and celery. Add tomato
    sauce,
    water,
    chili powder, bay leaves, vinegar, salt and pepper.
    Let this mixture cook slowly while you brown about 1 cup of flour in shortening real dark (almost burn it). Add to other mixture stirring constantly.\tAdd shrimp and cook 20 minutes after this\thas come to a boil.
    Stir occasionally. Serve over cooked rice.
