Chocolate Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. brown sugar
    1 c. shortening
    4 eggs
    1 c. sour milk or sweet milk with 1 tsp. vinegar
    1/2 c. Hershey's cocoa
    1/2 c. boiling water
    3 c. flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. cinnamon (optional)
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cream sugar and shortening; add eggs and beat well.
    Mix cocoa and water; add to egg mixture; blend.
    Sift together dry ingredients; add small amount alternately with milk, beginning and ending with flour.
    Add vanilla and blend.
    Drop onto lightly greased cookie sheet by rounded teaspoonfuls.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes.
    Cool and frost with chocolate or vanilla frosting. Top with colored sprinkles.
