Texas Hash - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. ground chuck
    2 c. chopped onion
    2 c. chopped green bell pepper
    2 Tbsp. chili powder
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. garlic powder
    1/2 tsp. black pepper
    3 c. cooked rice
    1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes, chopped
    4 to 5 slices Velveeta cheese
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Cook ground chuck with onions, green peppers and seasonings in skillet until vegetables are tender, stirring frequently; drain.
    Add rice and tomatoes.
    Place in baking dish.
    Bake for 15 minutes.
    Lay cheese over casserole. Bake until cheese melts.
    Serves 6 to 8.
