Wassail Punch - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 qt. water
3 c. sugar
7 cinnamon sticks
1/2 Tbsp. whole cloves
1 1/2 gal. apple cider
12 oz. orange juice concentrate
12 oz. lemonade concentrate
1 fifth rum (optional)
Preparation

Bring water and sugar to boil.
Put cinnamon and cloves in cheesecloth.
Add spices to sugar-water mixture.
Let boil 10 minutes.
Cool for at least one hour.
Add 1 1/2 gallons of apple juice or cider, 12 ounces orange juice concentrate and fifth rum. Heat, but do not boil.
Store in bottles.
Serve warm.
Do not heat or store in aluminum.
