Rice Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. uncooked white rice
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 c. sugar
    1/4 tsp. cinnamon
    2 1/2 c. milk
    1/2 c. raisins (optional)
Preparation
    Combine in the top of a double boiler.
    Cook, covered, over boiling water until rice is tender and milk is almost absorbed, about 1 hour.
    Serves 4 to 6.
