Johnny Appleseed Tea - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 qt. water, divided
    6 tea bags
    1 (6 oz.) can frozen apple juice, thawed
    1/2 c. plus 2 Tbsp. firmly packed brown sugar
Preparation
    Bring 1 quart water to boil; add tea bags.
    Remove from heat. Cover and let steep for 5 minutes.
    Remove tea bags.
    Add remaining ingredients (the extra quart of water as well).
    Cook over low heat until thoroughly heated.
    Serve hot.
    Makes 9 cups.
