Pasta Fagioli - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. dry navy beans
1 c. chopped onion
1 Tbsp. vegetable bouillon
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 (1 lb. 12 oz.) can whole tomatoes
2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper
1/2 lb. fresh broccoli, cut in 1-inch pieces
cooked elbow macaroni
Preparation

Combine beans, onion and 2 1/2 quarts of water in Dutch oven. Heat to boil.
Simmer for 2 minutes.
Cover and let stand for 1 hour.
Add vegetable bouillon.
Simmer for 2 to 2 1/2 hours, until beans are tender.
Saute garlic in oil.
Stir into beans.
Stir in tomatoes with liquid, salt and cayenne.
Heat to boil.
Simmer for 30 minutes.
Cover and refrigerate overnight.
