Mocha Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1 3/4 c. sugar
    1/2 c. shortening
    2 eggs
    1 c. hot coffee
    1/2 c. cocoa
    1 tsp. soda
    1/2 c. boiling water
Preparation
    Grease and flour 2 (8-inch) layer pans.
    Sift flour with salt.
    Add sugar to shortening in large mixing bowl; cream at high mixer speed until fluffy.
    Blend in eggs.
    Add coffee to cocoa; add to creamed mixture.
    Gradually add sifted dry ingredients; blend thoroughly.
    Dissolve soda in water.
    Add to batter.
    Pour batter into pans.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 30 to 35 minutes.
    Frost with desired frosting.
