Connecticut Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 3/4 c. boiling water
    1 c. uncooked oatmeal
    1 c. brown sugar, packed lightly
    1 c. sugar
    1 stick butter
    2 eggs
    1 3/4 c. unsifted flour
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. Hershey's unsweetened cocoa
    1/2 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
    3/4 c. chopped walnuts
    1/2 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
Preparation
    Pour boiling water over oatmeal.
    Let stand 10 minutes.
    Add brown sugar, sugar and butter to mixture; stir until butter melts. Add eggs, mixing well.
    Sift together the flour, baking soda, salt and cocoa and add to mixture.
    Add 1/2 package chocolate chips. Pour batter into a greased and floured 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Sprinkle walnuts and 1/2 package chocolate chips over batter.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 40 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
