Chicken Curry(Native American Style) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (2 lb.) chicken
    1 tsp. salt
    3/4 tsp. red pepper
    1/2 tsp. cumin seed
    1/8 tsp. ground cloves
    1 1/2 c. water
    1/6 tsp. ground ginger
    1 stick oleo
    1/2 tsp. black pepper
    1/10 tsp. ground cinnamon
    2 onions, shredded
    6 oz. can tomato sauce
    1/3 tsp. turmeric
Preparation
    Fry onions in butter.
    Add spices, salt and tomato sauce.
    Add chicken (with skin removed) and cook for 40 minutes, turning every 10 minutes.
    Add 1 1/2 cups water and cook 10 to 12 minutes longer.
    Add pepper and cool for 10 minutes.
    Serve over rice or slices of bread.
