Hamburger Corn Pone Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 Tbsp. salad oil
    1 medium green pepper, diced
    1 large onion, chopped
    2 lb. ground beef
    2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 (1 lb.) can tomatoes
    1 (1 lb.) can pinto beans
    1 Tbsp. chili powder
    1 (12 oz.) pkg. corn muffin mix
Preparation
    Heat oil in 3-quart heatproof casserole on top of stove.
    Add green pepper and onion; cook until tender.
    Salt and pepper beef; brown in casserole, breaking up with fork.
    Add tomatoes, beans and chili powder; let simmer.
