Strawberry Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    whipping cream
    1 warm 9-inch baked pie shell
    2 Tbsp. melted butter
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    3 doz. strawberries, cleaned
    2 c. sliced strawberries
    1/2 c. water
    1 c. sugar
    2 1/2 Tbsp. cornstarch
Preparation
    While pie crust is warm, sprinkle with melted butter and 2 tablespoons sugar.
    Place whole berries, tips up, in circles inside crust.
    In saucepan, combine remaining ingredients and bring to gentle simmer.
    Cook over medium heat for 5 minutes, until thick and clear.
    Pour glaze over berries in pie.
    Chill pie.
    Serve topped with whipped cream.
    Serves 8.
