Coconut Cake With Pineapple - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 cups flour
    1 cup buttermilk
    1 stick butter
    1/4 cup crisco shortening
    2 cups sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    5 egg yolks
    5 egg whites, stiffly beaten
Preparation
    Cream butter and shortening.
    Add sugar and beat until mixture is smooth.
    Add egg yolks and beat well.
    Add flour and alternate with buttermilk.
    Stir in vanilla.
    Fold in egg whites.
    Pour into 3 (9-inch) cake pans, greased and floured.
    Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes.
