Potato Casserole - cooking recipe

1 (2 lb.) bag hash brown potatoes
1 c. chopped onions
1 (10 oz.) pkg. shredded Cheddar cheese
8 oz. carton sour cream
1 can cream of chicken soup
salt and pepper to taste
bread crumbs
1 stick margarine, melted
Preparation

Recipe calls for bread crumbs to be spread on top of casserole and the margarine spread over crumbs, but you can just spread the melted margarine over the casserole.
Bake about 1 hour and 10 minutes on 350\u00b0.
This makes a big casserole so, if you wish, you can divide in half and freeze one.
If you divide, cooking time is shorter.
