Brown Gravy Chicken Jalop - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    chicken (1 fryer or hen)
    celery
    potatoes
    onions
    flour
    black pepper
    salt
Preparation
    Place chicken in
    boiler,
    covered over with water.
    Let boil until tender.
    Debone.
    Put
    meat
    back
    into
    broth
    (cut chicken meat in bite-size pieces).
    Add about 3 stems of celery cut in small
    pieces.
    Let
    tender,
    then
    add about 3 potatoes (peeled and cubed) and 2 medium size onions (peeled and cubed). Add pepper and
    salt.
    Let
    cook
    up together.
    Then take flour (about 4 tablespoons), brown slowly in oven. Add to ingredients to thicken gravy.
    You may serve on sliced bread or toast.
    The amounts of ingredients may vary according to number served.
