Apple Dumplings - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. flour
4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/3 c. shortening
2/3 c. milk
6 baking apples
Preparation

Sift flour, baking powder and salt together.
Cut in shortening.
Add milk; stir.
Knead on board for 30 seconds. Roll.
Cut in squares.
Peel and core apples.
Place part of apples in each square.
Put 1 tablespoon sugar, dash of nutmeg and cinnamon in each crust.
Bring dough around apples.
Press edges together.
Place in baking dish.
