Swiss Steak - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    2 to 3 Tbsp. flour
    2 lb. round steak (1 1/2 inches thick)
    1/2 c. vegetable oil
    2 medium onions, thinly sliced
    3/4 c. boiling water
    2 Tbsp. wine vinegar
    1 1/2 tsp. prepared mustard
    1 bay leaf
Preparation
    Combine salt and pepper with flour; pound into steak.
    Heat oil; brown steak well on both sides.
    Reduce heat; add onions. When just wilted, add liquids and seasonings.
    Cover; simmer for 2 hours, or until steak is tender, turning once or twice.
    Serve with pan sauce.
