Ingredients

2/3 c. light brown sugar
1/2 c. butter or margarine, softened
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. finely chopped nuts
1 c. oatmeal (uncooked)
1 Tbsp. milk
1/2 tsp. baking powder
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Beat the sugar and butter or margarine until fluffy.
Stir in rest of ingredients.
Drop from teaspoon, 2 inches apart, onto ungreased baking sheet.
Bake for 8 minutes. Let cookies stand for 3 minutes before removing with a wide spatula.
Makes about 30 thin, lacy cookies.
