Ingredients

1 c. margarine
3/4 c. brown sugar
3/4 c. granulated sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1 pkg. (12 oz.) semi-sweet chocolate
1 c. nuts (optional)
Preparation

Heat oven to 375\u00b0.
Beat margarine, sugar, vanilla and eggs until light and fluffy.
Mix in flour, baking soda and salt.
Stir in chips and nuts.
Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls 2-inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheets.
Bake for 8 to 10 minutes.
Remove from cookie sheets to cool on wire rack.
Makes about 6 dozen.
