Great Meringue Topping - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 egg whites
6 Tbsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. flavoring, if desired
1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
Preparation

Beat egg whites with cream of tartar until frothy. Gradually beat in sugar, a little at a time. Beat until sugar is dissolved and mix is stiff and glassy. Beat in flavoring. Pile meringue onto hot pie filling. Seal the meringue to edges of crust to help prevent shrinking and weeping. Swirl meringue to make decorative top. Bake at 400\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes. Cool gradually.
