Tex-Mex Cornbread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. yellow cornmeal
1/2 tsp. baking soda
3/4 tsp. salt
1 c. buttermilk
2 eggs, beaten
1 medium onion, finely chopped
1 (16 oz.) can cream-style corn
1 finely chopped jalapeno pepper
Cheddar cheese
1 stick margarine, melted in 9 x 9-inch pan
Preparation

Stir all of the ingredients together until well blended, including the melted margarine.
Pour half of the mixture into the 9 x 9-inch pan.
Cover with a layer of Cheddar cheese.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes.
