Spiced Shrimp Kebabs - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 (8 1/4 oz.) can pineapple chunks in heavy syrup
3 medium cloves garlic, crushed
1/2 lb. shrimp, peeled and deveined
dash of hot red pepper sauce
1 Tbsp. salad oil
1/8 tsp. ground ginger
1/8 tsp. ground turmeric
1 Tbsp. tomato paste
1/2 tsp. salt
1 Tbsp. lime juice
Preparation

Drain pineapple; reserve 1/4 cup syrup.
In skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat.
Saute garlic, spices and tomato paste 2 minutes.
Add shrimp; saute 2 minutes.
Stir in pineapple syrup and remaining ingredients; boil.
Add pineapple; place in bowl. Accompany with picks to make kebabs.
Yields 4 servings, 139 calories per serving.
