Cream Cheese Brownies - cooking recipe

1 pkg. German chocolate cake mix
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
1 egg
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. milk chocolate chips
1/2 c. chopped nut meats
Preparation

Heat oven.
Grease and flour rectangular pan.
Prepare cake mix as directed on package.
Pour batter into 13 x 9 x 2-inch cake pan.
Mix cream cheese, egg and sugar and drop by tablespoons onto cake batter.
Cut through batter with knife several times to give marbled effect.
Sprinkle with chocolate chips and nuts if desired.
Bake until cake springs back when touched.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for about 30 minutes.
