Filling Balls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 pkg. soft bread cubes
    2 to 3 sticks margarine
    1 small onion, chopped
    3 stalks celery, chopped
    1 egg
    1/4 to 1/2 c. milk
Preparation
    Spread cubes on a tray and season with salt and pepper.
    Melt butter in saucepan; add onion and celery.
    Simmer for 1/2 hour, until cooked soft.
    Pour over cubes and work in.
    Beat egg with 1/4 cup milk and work into cubes.
    Form into balls and use extra milk until mixture will pack.
    (The Filling Balls should be slightly larger than a golf ball.) Pack Filling Balls in doubled foil packages and seal tightly.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes. About halfway through cooking, turn packages over for even baking.
