Ingredients

1 c. shortening
1 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. white sugar
1 c. peanut butter
2 tsp. baking soda
3 c. sifted all-purpose flour
Preparation

Cream sugar into shortening.
Blend in peanut butter.
Add eggs and mix well.
Mix soda with flour.
Blend into first mixture.
Add vanilla and blend well.
Shape dough into rolls. Wrap in wax paper.
Chill until firm.
Place roll of chilled dough on cutting board. Cut into 1/8-inch thick slices.
Place on ungreased cookie sheets.
Bake in a 375\u00b0 oven for 10 minutes. Remove cookies to cooling racks.
Store crisp cookies in cookie tin.
