Picante Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    18 medium tomatoes, peeled and diced
    3 large onions, diced (white or yellow)
    2 (12 oz.) cans tomato sauce
    1 whole garlic, chopped
    3 large green bell peppers, diced
    1 c. vinegar
    3 Tbsp. sugar
    1 Tbsp. black pepper
    salt to taste
    hot pepper to taste
Preparation
    Put peeled and diced tomatoes and diced onions and peppers in a large pot.
    Add all other ingredients and cook 2 to 3 hours. Place in hot jars and seal.
    Let sit until cool.
    Makes 10 to 12 pints.
