Seven Minute Icing - cooking recipe

Ingredients

pinch of baking powder
1 c. sugar
1 egg white
5 Tbsp. cold water
1/2 c. confectioners sugar
1 tsp. vanilla flavoring

Preparation

Put in double boiler and beat 7 minutes or until a hard ball forms when dropped in cold water the white sugar, egg white, cold water and baking powder.
Cut off head and add confectioners sugar and vanilla.
Spread on cooled cake while frosting is warm.
