Eggnog - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 qt. milk
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 pt. cream
    3 eggs
    vanilla and nutmeg
Preparation
    Separate eggs.
    Beat egg yolks and add sugar.
    Add milk.
    Beat egg whites until they stand in peaks.
    Add to milk mixture.
    Beat cream until frothy.
    Add to mixture and mix well.
    Chill.
    Add vanilla and nutmeg, if desired.
