Hash Brown Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (2 lb.) pkg. frozen hash brown potatoes
    3/4 c. melted butter or margarine, divided
    1 pt. sour cream
    1 can cream of chicken soup
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    2 c. shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
    2 c. crushed corn flakes
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    Thaw potatoes.\tPreheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Combine potatoes with 1/4 cup melted butter and add sour cream, soup, onion, cheese and seasonings.
    Mix well and pour into lightly greased 9 x 13 baking dish.
    In separate bowl mix cornflake crumbs and 1/2 cup melted butter.
    Top potato mixture with cornflake mixture and cover with foil.
    Bake for 20 minutes.
    Remove foil and bake uncovered for an additional 20 minutes.
    Serves large group.
