Scallion Butter Burgers - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. ground beef
    salt to taste
    1/4 tsp. celery seed
    1/2 c. chopped scallions
    3/4 tsp. coarsely ground black pepper
    Scallion Butter (recipe follows)
    12 slices rye bread
Preparation
    Combine meat, salt, celery seed and scallions.
    Shape into 6 patties.
    Press pepper into surface of patties.
    Grill.
    Toast rye bread and spread with Scallion Butter.
    Place hamburgers on toasted rye bread.
