Sugar And Spice Nuts - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. firmly packed dark brown sugar
    1 c. water
    4 c. pecan halves (may use half walnuts)
    1 tsp. ground cinnamon
    1/4 tsp. ground ginger
Preparation
    Grease 2 cookie sheets with butter.
    In heavy saucepan, combine the sugar and water.
    Cook over moderate heat, stirring constantly, until sugar dissolves.
    Continue cooking, without stirring, until syrup reaches the firm ball stage (244\u00b0).
