Taco Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. ground beef
    1 small onion, chopped
    1 (4 oz.) can green chilies
    1 (1 1/4 oz.) pkg. taco seasoning
    1 (1 oz.) pkg. Ranch dressing mix
    1 can hominy, drained
    3 cans stewed tomatoes
    1 can kidney beans
    1 can pinto beans or 2 cans pinto beans
    1 (15 oz.) can whole kernel corn, undrained
    1 1/2 c. water
Preparation
    In a large pot, saute beef, onion and green chilies.
    Add remaining ingredients and simmer 30 minutes on low.
    Top with crushed tortilla chips and grated cheese.
    Top with sour cream and/or black olives (optional).
