Banana-Prune Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2/3 c. shortening
2 1/2 c. sifted cake flour
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt
1 c. fully ripe bananas
2/3 c. milk
2 eggs
1 c. chopped pitted prunes, cooked
1/2 c. chopped walnuts
Preparation

Stir shortening just to soften.
Sift in dry ingredients.
Add bananas and half the milk; mix well until all flour is dampened, then beat vigorously 2 minutes.
Add eggs and remaining milk; beat 2 more minutes.
Fold in prunes and nuts.
