Layered Pea Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 head lettuce, chopped
    1 c. diced celery
    1/2 c. diced green pepper
    1 medium onion, diced
    1 pkg. frozen peas, thawed
    6 hard-boiled eggs, sliced
    8 to 10 cooked bacon strips, crumbled
    2 c. Miracle Whip salad dressing
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. shredded Cheddar cheese
Preparation
    In a 13 x 9 x 2-inch casserole dish, layer the lettuce, celery, pepper, eggs, onion, peas and bacon.
    Mix salad dressing with sugar.
    Spread on top of layers.
    Sprinkle with Cheddar cheese. Refrigerate until ready.
    Serve with 1 cup Italian dressing. Serves 8 to 10.
