Ingredients

1 c. shortening
2 c. sugar
1 c. milk
6 c. sifted flour
1 c. cocoa
4 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. anise oil
2 tsp. allspice
6 tsp. baking powder
Preparation

Cream shortening, add sugar, eggs and milk, then 1 cup chopped nuts.
Roll into 1-inch balls, dip fingers in Crisco to roll. Place on cookie sheet.
Bake 10 minutes at 350\u00b0.
Brown bottom. Frost when cool.
Makes over 100.
Divide recipe in half, if desired.
