Ginataang Pinoy - cooking recipe
Ingredients
- 
                            1/4 kg. spring or string beans, cut 2 inches long
 
1/4 kg. pumpkin or squash, cut in cubes (may substitute carrots or cauliflower)
2 onions, 1 sliced in cubes and 1 in rings
2 red tomatoes, sliced
1 small piece ginger
2 pieces fresh red or green peppers
1/2 lb. chicken, pork or shrimp
1 1/2 c. thick coconut milk
salt
1 Knorr or any other powder/cube seasoning
Preparation
- 
                            Add 1/2 cup coconut milk in a pan.
 
Add Knorr cube seasoning and gently boil.
Add ginger, sliced onions and tomatoes for 3 minutes.
Add chicken (meat), salt and boil
until half cooked. Add vegetables and cook another 5 to 10 minutes.
Add the remaining coconut milk and cook 5 minutes.
Remove from heat.
Add fresh peppers on top.
Transfer to a platter and place onion rings on top.
Serve with rice and potatoes.
