Country Raisin Gingersnaps - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. seedless raisins
    1 c. sugar
    1/4 c. molasses
    2 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. ginger
    3/4 c. shortening
    1 egg
    2 1/4 c. sifted flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. cloves
Preparation
    Beat together shortening and sugar and egg.
    Mix in molasses, flour and spices.
    Add raisins.
    Chill dough.
    Shape in small balls and roll in additional sugar.
    Places on greased baking sheet at 375\u00b0
    for 8 to 10 minutes.
    Makes 3 dozen.
