Old-Fashioned Gingerbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. all-purpose flour
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. shortening
    1/2 tsp. ginger
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1 egg
    2 Tbsp. molasses
    1 c. sour milk
    1 tsp. soda
    pinch of salt
Preparation
    Mix flour, sugar, shortening, ginger and cinnamon together as for pie crust.
    Reserve 1/2 cup for topping.
    Combine remaining mixture with remaining ingredients.
    Mix well.
    Pour into 8 x 9-inch cake pan.
    Crumble reserved mixture over top.
    Bake 35 to 40 minutes in 350\u00b0 oven.
