Green Chile Corn Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 slices bacon
    2 c. corn meal
    1 tsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1 c. shredded cheese
    1 c. milk
    2 eggs, beaten
    1/2 c. onion, chopped
    1/2 c. pimento
    1/2 c. Shoe Peg corn, drained
    chopped chili pepper to taste
Preparation
    Fry bacon until crisp; remove.
    Combine corn meal, salt, sugar, soda, milk and eggs, stirring until blended.
    Add onion, corn, peppers and bacon (crumbled); mix well.
    Pour 1/2 mixture into greased pan.
    Cover with 1/2 cheese.
    Spoon on remaining corn meal mixture.
    Sprinkle remaining 1/2 cheese.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 35 minutes.
