Caramel Popcorn - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. light brown sugar, firmly packed
1/2 c. light corn syrup
2 sticks oleo
1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
6 qt. popcorn (2 air popper loads)
Preparation

In Dutch oven or 2 1/2-quart saucepan, combine all but baking soda and popcorn.
Bring to boil, stirring over medium-high heat. Stir constantly and bring to 260\u00b0 (hard ball; after boiling, stir and cook 5 minutes if no candy thermometer is used).
Stir in baking soda quickly but thoroughly.
Pour at once over popcorn; stir.
Bake at 200\u00b0 for 1 hour; stir 2 or 3 times. Spread on wax paper to cool.
