"Thibs" Chicken And Dumplings - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    hen, seasoned and cut up
    1/2 c. cooking oil
Preparation
    Brown seasoned, cut up hen in 1/2 cup cooking oil or fat from hen.
    Add little water at a time until meat is tender, about 2 hours.
    Add more water to make gravy.
    After the meat is tender, take meat out of pot.
    Add onion to pot with dumplings and cook in gravy.
    Add a little water while cooking dumplings.
