Creamed Mushrooms - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    2 green onions, minced
    12 oz. mushrooms, chopped coarsely
    1/4 c. flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. cayenne
    2 1/2 c. milk
Preparation
    Melt butter in heavy saucepan.
    Add onions and mushrooms. Cover; cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until mushrooms are tender and juices released, about 6 minutes.
    Blend in flour, salt and cayenne.
    Gradually stir in milk.
    Cook and stir until thickened, about 5 minutes.
    Makes 3 cups.
