Ground Beef And Eggplant Bake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    12 to 16 slices eggplant (1/2-inch thick)
    boiling salt water
    2 lb. ground beef
    3 Tbsp. olive oil or bacon fat
    1/4 c. chopped onion
    1/4 c. chopped green pepper
    2 Tbsp. flour
    2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. black pepper
    1/2 tsp. oregano
    2 c. canned tomato sauce
    1 1/2 c. grated Cheddar cheese
Preparation
    Preheat oven to slow (300\u00b0).
    Cook the peeled eggplant slices in boiling salted water until tender, about five minutes.
