Chocolate-Covered Cherry Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
    1/2 c. unsweetened cocoa powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 c. butter or margarine, softened
    1 c. granulated sugar
    1 egg
    1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1(10 oz.) jar maraschino cherries (about 48)
    1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips
    1/2 can sweetened condensed milk (not evaporated)
    4 to 5 tsp. reserved cherry juice
Preparation
    Sift dry ingredients together.
    Beat margarine and sugar until fluffy.
    Add egg and vanilla and beat.
    Gradually add dry ingredients, beating until blended.
    Shape into 1-inch balls and place on ungreased cookie sheet.
    Press in center with thumb to make indentation.
    Drain cherries saving liquid.
    Place cherry in indentation.
    Prepare frosting.
