Date Bars - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3/4 c. chopped nuts
1/2 c. sifted self-rising flour
2 c. finely chopped dates
3 eggs
3/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
confectioners sugar
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Grease 9-inch square baking pan; set aside.
Combine nuts, flour and dates in small bowl; set aside. Beat eggs with electric mixer in large mixing bowl until thick and lemon-colored.
Gradually beat in sugar.
Add vanilla; blend well. Add date mixture; blend well.
Pour into prepared pan and spread evenly.
Bake 25 minutes or until golden brown.
Cut into bars while hot.
Cool in pan or on wire rack.
Roll in or sprinkle with confectioners sugar.
