Chewy Oatmeal Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

3/4 c. shortening
1 1/3 c. packed brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. flour
3/4 tsp. soda
3/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
2 c. oats

Preparation

Mix shortening, brown sugar, eggs and vanilla in bowl.
Mix together the flour, soda, salt and spices; gradually add to creamed mixture.
Beat until smooth; stir in oatmeal.
