Homemade Donuts - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 eggs
    6 Tbsp. soft shortening
    8 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    2 c. mashed potatoes
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    5 1/2 c. flour
    2 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. mace
Preparation
    Mix all ingredients together.
    Roll dough out on lightly floured surface to 1/2 inch thickness.
    Cut with floured donut cutter.
    Fry in oil (375\u00b0) about 1 1/2 minutes on each side or until golden brown.
    Cool slightly and dust with confectioners sugar.
