Ingredients

1 c. butter, softened
1 1/4 c. sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/4 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1 1/4 tsp. baking powder
1 sq. unsweetened chocolate, melted and cooled
1/4 c. finely chopped pecans
red food coloring
Preparation

Cream butter until light and fluffy.
Gradually add sugar, beating well.
Add egg and vanilla and beat well.
Mix flour, salt and baking powder and add to first mixture.
Divide dough into 3 parts.
Stir chocolate and nuts into one part; add a few drops of food coloring to another.
